For the record, I only know you as katastrophik and if there is a secret club about identities, I know nothing about it.
If I take on a second ID, I would do so for amusement (my own, and hopefully that of those who post here). Something like hayseed_dirk. I would be blokey and I’d pull out every bit of rustic humour that I could. It would not even be an open secret - just open, I suppose. But I haven’t come to a state of mind where I’d be motivated to put in the effort for purely comedic effect. At the moment it’s all I can do to keep up with what needs to be done, and take care of my vulnerable family member, and contemplate the prospect of replacing the blinds with curtains, considering the fact that the front of the house is all glass and the windows/glass doors extend almost all the way up from the floor...
But I think that is a topic for the Blokes’ thread...
Hypothetical: do blokes run up curtains? (Not as in the three blind mice sort of running up, but as in “to sew”...)
Previous owner of my house was a yanky sailer, he decorated it with fancy curtains, but on some set ups the plastic runners give way eventually, forget how many times I had to replace them. At the moment they've broken off again in the lounge room, but I've collected some sturdy rail set ups so it won't happen again.
