Wow been some years from my last visit, this place is a devastated landscape ! so sterile !
I was thinking of back in the day and the great laughs we had and thought of the old posters.
Lot of water gone under the bridge, all the hatchets would be well buried by now.
Are there any left ? am I all that's left ? anyway hello to any of the old guard, cheers Yibs !

As for who has left, the messages are called private messages because the posters wish them to remain private. There are a handful of past regular posters who have contacted me and expressed similar concerns to those that I have publicly raised.
You brought it up in "public", Chame
While i,m not familiar with the details, one expressed that the worst offender was active on another board in the past and had damaged that one to the extent it was no longer viable. This might ring some bells with a few of the longer serving posters.
This doesn't ring a bell here, & I'm one of those posters who's been there first hand or part of those forums. This is not what transpired.
Lemme think, The board I created changed hands they decided to go private in the end.
You do get your board killers.. yeah, Due to nearly zero moderation one thought they could ramble on & on & on & on & get away with underhanded tactics I believed they played a huge role in making that place not viable. This had nothing to do with Dom what'so'ever.

Yeah, well...
In the 'good old days' I was harassed unmercifully for who I was BFF with.
Being a 'noob' I put up with it, and rode it out.
Early RTR members scared the pants off me.
But I'm still here........and not whingeing about who those posters were at the time.
Seriously, who the hell cares anymore?
Seems some can't let it go.

I came here out of nostalgia and reminisce the good times I remember, I don't want to think of the bad moments, it bought me to my knees in the end, at times shedding a tear. the answer is to let go, everyday is a new day to reflect on the previous day, then think to yourself what can I do to make this a better day, anger destroys from within, make piece with yourself, ignore and defuse the situation, build people up don't tear them down. Reflect and direct positive thoughts. (Yibs the Zen master ) 🎼

Yes...
There will always be differences of viewpoint, and even the best of us can be mistaken, make errors, or just not be on the same wavelength as some other members. It’s not a matter for cudgels and coconuts – or it shouldn’t be.
I like something about everyone on these boards, with very few exceptions. I will spell out those exceptions to make it very clear: those few newly created anonymous users who created their IDs specifically to troll.
By “trolling”, I mean the behaviour of people who meet the definition of internet trolls. “Trolls are people who leave intentionally provocative or offensive messages on the internet in order to get attention, cause trouble or upset someone.” The accepted legal definition – using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offense – demonstrates that such behaviour is not just unpleasant, but at its worst is potentially criminally actionable.
I do NOT mean people whose posts are sharp or terse, or which contain an element or statement that some might find unfriendly. That’s not the same as trolling. I know my own way of communicating tries to be friendly and helpful, while appreciating sharper and more savoury approaches as well. Goodness, we all have our own triggers, don’t we? We all have our own levels of frustration and we all respond in different ways. I am happy to take people as they are (although I may debate with them quite strongly, or disagree with them, etc).
The trolls of whom I speak post primarily in old threads on the Buying or Selling boards with irrelevant and uncalled-for nastiness for no purpose other than to be nasty against someone.
Thankfully we do not seem to have trolls on this board at present. Disagreement, yes - but let’s not allow that to clog up this nice thread.
Speaking from personal experience, having met Yibs in person several times, that’s the last thing he would want. He’s a genuinely lovely person, and he would give you (by which I mean all of us) the shirt off his back.
That said... Yibs, the Red Tardis is still going strong!

Thank you for the kind words Tess, "That said... Yibs, the Red Tardis is still going strong!" well I'm not surprised they were quality components I used, having said that it could be time to do an upgrade to bring it into 2021 speed, we clone the contents of the HDD to a 1 terabyte SSD, I recently ( last year ) did this to my PC and others in the Yibs command center, it's like jumping out of a 4 cylinder car into a V8 ! yes the difference is that dramatic ! for around $200 to $300 for a 1 terabyte SSD depending on the SSD brand it will extend the life of the Tardis for quite a while yet ! ( of course you will need to wear a crash helmet when you drive it after the up grade ) we must get together over cake and tea one weekend and perform this task. We've tried that and it doesn't always work. Some subjects that deal with natural health, freedom in health etc. are not liked by some. Basically not allowed by some Refer to chameleon54's helpful posts and folks will know more. Perhaps this is why some of the old members the OP refers to have gone to more fertile venues.

This back and forth stuff is no big deal, to me anyhow. Either you can handle it or you can't.

I hope that what you said of this "organized" thing will one day be true. Not easy to monitor.

Perhaps a sharing of healthy habits - perhaps a sharing of all good health - given - most who post here are more than possibly older & healthier - than you. LOL
Not a ram down the neck of - basically - media questionable sites.
And - not a long diatribe of scrolling outdated C Theories.
Basically not allowed by some Refer to chameleon54's helpful posts and folks will know more.
From a poster who will continually mention obsessively a group - for what/who knows reason.
From a poster who will do scroller after scroller of who ' helpfuled ' what - funny.
Perhaps this is why some of the old members the OP refers to have gone to more fertile venues.
Now - that made me laugh.
