Yes I did. The first marriage and it was a nightmare for five years. I was beaten on a nightly basis and yet was told by all those around me how "lucky" I was to be living in a beautiful home and not have to worry about bills etc... The night he bashed me so hard I lost the baby, my first child, I was carrying, I decided a life of poverty couldn't be this bad. And I left him and married somebody else for love.

Well I married for love. We didn't live in poverty but we ceratainly lived from week to week while our five children were growing up  and in eight days we will be celebrating our 51st anniversary - so who is the "isolated case" you or me?
