Nic, it doesn't really matter that there were no sparks on this occasion. The point is that you're persevering with it and that's what really counts. I can also tell you from personal experience that the more you put yourself out there, the more comfortable you'll become and that will become quite obvious as your confidence increases, and the more others notice, the more likely they'll be to want to meet you or get to know you better.
I'm not saying that I agree with the concept that men are supposed to be the more aggressive sex when it comes to looking for a potential partner, but that's the attitude that society has instilled in us over the years so males are expected to do most of the chasing, which essentially means that it won't be too long before you'll have so many men knocking on your door that you'll be beating them off with a big stick!
