Rainbows

Does anybody know if eb intends making a tool available to alter profile pics to include a rainbow, as facebook has done worldwide? The tool is dedicated to the U.S. amendment to allow same sex marriage that the whole world is meant to embrace, .. apparantly.  Supporters of this amendment can show their support by altering their profile pic to include this rainbow.  Would be great if eb did follow fb on this, it would be another great tool in deciding where to shop, and where not to.

Just because someone decides to use the rainbow on their Facebook page, it DOESN'T necessarily indicate a support for marriage equality. It is more about the "influence" people have and Facebook Marketing is studying who makes the change, when the change is made (dependent on interactions with many other pages) AND when their friends also adopt the rainbow ......... there is an algorithm to detect this. So a person can simply adopt the "rainbow" to see how much of a 'leader' they feel they can be OR adopt the rainbow as they want to be seen to be like their fb friends OR simply adopt it to show their stance and happiness at the situation OR not adopt the rainbow to purposely not participate in Facebook marketing ............. but don't be concerned about who does or doesn't adopt the rainbow, because Facebook are monitoring it very closely and have tapped into motivation and will use the information accordingly. But it's important to understand what is behind this as it is for me to understand that it's a possibility some people might discriminate because of a type of picture ........ but then again, I guess some people might also not buy from you if they don't like your ID; who knows.

Not being on Facebook I had no idea what the rainbow thing was about.  Reading some of these posts and thinking what eBay is for...who cares if some sellers want to add a rainbow or any other permitted (by eBay, Facebook etc) social/religious symbol to their listings. 

Even though I am a Christian I cringe when I read (generally US) listings that include lots of a seller's religious opionions...or some terrible hard luck story in the hope that buyers will bid for their stuff.  I don't want to see that.  But a small symbol...knock yourself out.

I base my purchasing on: it is what I'm looking for, is it the right price and how much is the postage.  That's it.

I have replied to you zanadoo only because I can't add all the recipients that require a response and I know that all will read this -

I have dared to come to this forum to ask a rather simple question that required a,"ÿes"or "no" answer. Some would have it that I have asked for their personal buying habits, their sexual preferences, their takes on marketing procedures, if your a fb member, and more, and then seen fit to attempt to howl me down, even scream at me, because of their in-ability to grasp the question that was asked in my original post. I HAVE NOT asked for any information on any of your/others personal habits or what you think of rainbows.!!  I suppose you can argue that you can respond in anyway you choose, and I agree with that. Just don't expect me to entertain remarks, addressed to me that are off topic, or simply off, because I will respond with remarks that you don't want to entertain, and then the camera seller will have to have them thrown out, as most of you know.

I know this thread is quite lengthy and time cosuming to read, if you are new to the thread I would suggest that you read my original post (1st post on page 1)   It's really not that hard to understand and zanadoo, don't get knocked out in the scramble to get there.

I would also suggest that you read this quickly because it contains text that is un-acceptable to the pu custodians.

Oh, an next time if you get replies that you don't like you only need to ignore them, don't answer and the thread will generally disappear. If you keep goading people they will keep replying and you will keep getting angrier and it just goes on and on.
