Does anybody know if eb intends making a tool available to alter profile pics to include a rainbow, as facebook has done worldwide? The tool is dedicated to the U.S. amendment to allow same sex marriage that the whole world is meant to embrace, .. apparantly. Supporters of this amendment can show their support by altering their profile pic to include this rainbow. Would be great if eb did follow fb on this, it would be another great tool in deciding where to shop, and where not to.

maybe my settings are different to everyone elses, but when i search for items on Ebay, I dont actually see the sellers avi.
Even if i have placed a bit on an item, the sellers avi does not show up to me.
The ONLY way i get to see an avi is if I actually click on the seller's profile or feedback page.
I cant imagine what sort of person would only wish to buy (or not buy) from those who do (or do not) support gay marriage rights.

Perhaps I should display a sign in my listings to say that I have been divorced so those who think it is a deadly sin can avoid buying from me

oh skyrider12-au, now you are just showing that you don't understand that many long-term posters on these boards have what eBay called a "posting ID".
In the early days of the boards, eBay actually encouraged posters to post with an ID that was not their main trading ID. I can assure you that phorum_junkie* is very active on another ID when in selling mode. She likes to idea of the "111" feedback on this posting ID which is why there has not been any feedback on that ID for quite some time.

Lol, this is indeed my posting id and I actually haven't sold anything since the beginniing of April on any of my 3 Australian selling ids because I am in the UK and will be until November, god and my meds willing

skyrider, because your overnight posts have been removed I am not able to address what you wrote in them as that is against board posting policies.
However, I have read what you have written on this thread and have decided to cave, and change my eBay profile picture to show my support. I will be changing it in about 15 minutes. Thanks for the inspiration to show my support, even if it is only through a change of profile pic for the month of July.
Cheers.

and, here it is . . . . my profile pic shows my support for what skyrider called . . . . . well . . . . . . . I can't discuss removed posts so posters will need to PM me if they want an explanation.
Cheers

Whilst some traders here think that such matters have no place in business, that is not the case in the real world away from the boards and in fact eBay did change their fb ebay.com profile pics to show support earlier in the week -
