Australian wind generation is cost-effective next to new coal and gas-fired plants with carbon pricing.
It also noted the success of onshore wind turbines in Brazil and South Africa.
Renewable energy is growing especially fast in China and other developing and emerging countries.

Very positive.
There was a poster that posted a thread on an invention from Perth recently.
Small wind turbines designed to be installed on a roof.
I can't find the thread.

That's it, thanks super. (Maybe it was you that initially posted this). 🙂
now that is a good idea... small individual ones that benefit the home is what should be promoted.
Wouldn't it be terrific. Every house having a few of these would make a huge difference.
Even if it only means providing 20-40% of the required energy to a house.
Unfortunately they are not available for residences yet. 😞

yes, it was me 🙂
I am sure they will be soon available, and combination of solar panels and some windpods, many households should be selling power to the grid, never have to pay for electricity again. If they can do it in Germany just with solar, it is amazing that we could not manage.

ok MM.. I went over the top..not ALL appliances.... it is air conditioners, heating, washing machines, dishwashers, hot water services, even fridges.. they have to have smart technology installed in them.
On the good side of "green" energy... I did see solar tiles... they look amazing.. so much better than panels on your roof...

CB: " they have to have smart technology installed in them. "
Nonsense, but prove your assertion with a link.
KH5 individual domestic wind turbines now that is a good idea..., research the engineering KH5.
SN: "Unfortunately they are not available for residences yet"
Absolute rubbish, do some research. Try: "small wind turbines Australia"
Victoria: "If you are interested in purchasing a small wind turbine for your
what type of wind system to get."
SN, Why post comments that are easily proved to be nonsense?

I will do what i can to find the link MM where i read it...
I have lots of links. :|.. not doing it tonight but will do it over the weekend.

monman, I was referring to windpods designed by Graeme Attey if you read my reference. "Windpods are not yet available for residential use".

If you know otherwise, kindly post where domestic windpods are available as I am very interested in specs n costs.
(word of advice, sometimes one should leave individuals to their own self discovery journey as it gives them joy).
