I live in a little flat that is attached to another property which is lived in by my landlord's son. I have my own yard and driveway separate from him. He has been coming onto my property and taking my bin to fill up with his rubbish. When I need to put my rubbish in it, I have to go looking for it (and sometimes can't find it) and he doesn't always leave me any room in it. Is he allowed to do this?

Chain it to your fence....... put a lock on it.
He might get the hint....
Once a bin is on the footpath...... he would be able to add to it..... not before....what a creep, and invasion of privacy!

I am with fiesta and DDB...
If he is approachable, let him know it is not on, that you do not want him coming on your property (and it is your property while you arepaying rent for it, and using the bin that is allocated to your unit.
If he gives you grief or does not comply with your request - go directly to the agent/real estate.
You have a contract with the Agent on behalf of the owner/landlord - Not with the son.

Hi again! Thanks for everyone's advice. I am not comfortable approaching the neighbor myself so I have sent an email to my property manager and was really nice about it all. I just asked if they wouldn't mind having a word and asking him to stop. I don't like to make a fuss but I am just not comfortable with him entering my property. ๐
