Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Morning everyone.  I love your new siggie Deb 😄

Another day of cooking and grocery shopping today. It seems like everytime I knock something off my shopping list I think of something else I need.

Nics, I love that birthday present but AAAawwww, I do feel so sad for Jack.  I hope he gets a Jack sized one for his next birthday.

Laney, it's wonderful that you are helping out those less fortunate. I do feel sorry for people that are all alone in life and have no one to share their Christmas with. Hopefully these events will give them some cheer.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Babysitting done............we went to see Paddington.............the movie was absolutely fabulous..........well worth going to see.

Because parking was so hard we decided to walk from the pictures to the fruit and veggie place to see if they had any blackberries....................they are my best friends favourite and I wanted to make her some home made blackberry icecream for Christmas.

As we were waiting to cross the road the couple in the car at the intersection started to fight really loudly................lots of "F" words............and then they started slapping and having a bit of a punch up.............we watched them take off and drive around the roundabout................and you could still hear them swearing at each other.............at least there were no children in their car.......................but our grandchildren heard it all.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooo.....after all that......still no blackberries..................so I am having to make her second favourite.............strawberry icecream.

I used my new blender......................and must not have attached everything properly...........so when I had blended it I somehow disconnected the bottom and it went all up my arm..................down the cupboard.

I managed to grab a bowl out of the cupboard and save about 80% of the mix.

Then I put it in the icecream maker.................and decided to stick the spoon in to have a taste...........and got the spoon stuck in the paddle............and had to dismantle the whole thing to get the spoon out.

Good grief.................but after 25 years of friendship my mate knows a lot of my gifts come with a tale attached.

Re: Round Table Revisited

.....and we would not want to be denied the pleasure of reading about your tales either Flashie!

Just saw your absolutely divine pic on the photo thread - what a cutie she is.

Induction over and back to the business of the day here.  Collected some more ABs for LL whose eye problem has reared up again - now sitting here demolishing some White Christmas a lovely neighbour left on our front door step for us, enjoyed a couple of long phone calls from t'othersider friends for our regular catch up and now celebrating a huge win I have just been advised about (some of you might remember the big project I was working on in the middle of the year).

All good news here and I hope those of you who left their Christmas shopping a little late (devil smiley) are not struggling too much with crowds and getting everything done that you hoped to.

The rest of the afternoon here is going to be a slack one - might even get some time to lie on the grass out the back in the breeze.  Dirty job but someone has to do it!

Re: Round Table Revisited

I wondered what you meant about the stollen this morning Prim.  LOL I only just checked the advent calendar.

I didn't make stollen but I'm about to start on my mum's bread pudding that I like to make at Christmas.  It's my idea of a Christmas fruit cake.  I don't like real fruit cake because it's a bit too sweet for me.
