Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

I hope you are now out the door and on the way for your early meet up Deb.

Flashie, agree about the census though I do suspect that quite a percentage is not completed truthfully.

Sore throat has turned into something a bit more uncomfortable, not 'flu or a cold but a little debilitating. I think it will be a mostly rest day for me.

Have a great day everyone.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Morning everyone.  That's no good about your throat Prim and is also untimely too.  I hope you are better very quickly.

Good for you Deb. Sometimes it's good to get out and about early.

I am not going to be horrible and complain about the humidity here because of Queensland.  I hope everyone stays safe.  I don't think I could live in a place that was continually hit by cyclones every year.  It would scare the bejeezus out of me.

Re: Round Table Revisited

thanks Joono, it was good. Prim there is not much worse than having a cold in summer, its very uncomfortable, hope you are over it very soon.

we have a friend who just moved up there on Tuesday Joono,  he won't be used to it . I find strong winds quite frightening here, so doubt that I could cope with a cyclone

Re: Round Table Revisited

Me too Deb.  I worry about the trees coming down.

I tried making mango ice cream this afternoon and I've got to tell you it is so good it's worth trying.  It was in the back of the coles free magazine this month and it is so easy you couldn't even call it a recipe.

Peel and chop up the mango and freeze (did that bit last night). Then in processor blend it with about 250ml plain yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of honey.  Perfect!  I've put it back in the freezer to harden up more but you can have it soft serve straight away.

It was hard to get the mango so it must be late in the season but I got some at the Asian grocery store at the big shops.

So! TGIF.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I loved going away for those few days with hubby that I am already planning another few days away in a few months time.

I know that other couple go away and it is not a big thing...........but we have never been able to do it before now.

Four children.........and work..............taking care of hubby's parents..............grandchildren..........there just never seemed to be a right time.

Did anyone else watch the series Broadchurch with David Tennant in it.............I got it for Christmas and really enjoyed it............I like him as an actor.

Hubby is working again this weekend...........I wll be glad when this job is finished............it is a HUGE one.

Prim..............I hope your throat gets better............maybe try some of those medicated throat lozengers.

Joono.........I am not sure if I have ever tasted Mango icecream............I have tasted mango chutney.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good for you Flashie.  Ring ahead and tell them to change the smoke alarm batteries 😄  I think that it is lovely that you and your husband enjoy each others company so much.

I haven't seen that series.  I'm a bit lowbrow at the moment and back to watching reality tv. I'm watching MKR properly for the first time this year but I hope it doesn't clash with MC when it comes back on.  Mostly I watch whatever doesn't tax the brain too much.

Re: Round Table Revisited

There are a few hangovers in our house today...............(not hubby and I as we do not drink).

But if the Facebook pictures I saw this morning are any indication I do not expect to see our sons until later this afternoon.

There was a mystery bus night as a farewell for one of the guys they work with.......................and it seems one of my sons had enough to drink to make him think he was a Calvin Klein underwear model...............no points for guessing which son....................good grief!

It is going to be quite warm this weekend.............I hope hubby doesn't find it too hard..............him and his brother are digging out a retaining wall that needs to be redone....................it is a HUGE job..................2 weeks of digging so far.

They thought it would be done by now...............they have got in some more family to help.............our son-in-law and my brother..................but it is a small steep yard.........so I think they might be going to get in each others way.
