Morning Deb yes shingles knock them about I noticed the Princess has failed with her memory as well she was as sharp as a tack but has slight confusion setting in which in turn frustrates her but at 91yrs and being fortunate enough to have had good health all her life is something to be thankful for.

hubby's mum is like that- we find she has her good days and her bad days. she is also 91
my Dad is 86, he and Mum are still together in the same house I grew up in- Dad still even goes over to his factory ' to work' I reckon he goes there to read the paper and have a little bit of space from Mum LOL

Deb, the Princess's mobility is very poor which is another frustration for her it's coming up to 15yrs since Dad passed and losing 3 son's over such a short period of time has her dwelling on her own mortality a lot. I try to divert those thoughts and conversation, but it doesn't always work favourably for me ![]()

Flashie when you are around, I have another cat problem.
Do you remember me saying some time ago that one of our cats was refusing to go outside?? well we've just found out why, living in our garden is a young mum cat and one kitten. At first when we saw them , we thought they must belong to someone, but nope, afraid not.. the mum is skinny and afraid of people. I've been giving her dried cat food for the past few days and I've always had water out for the various animals during the heat.. today is raining and she and the kitten are sheltering under a trailer in the garden.
I'm going to have to try to get her used to people a bit before I try and catch her.. to give her a chance. I really hate taking animals to the RSPCA because they just put them down
and I hate having to go through this again, but I can't just let them starve

Is the an alternative to the RSPCA............here we have a Cat Center............where they stay until they are rehomed.............no matter how long it takes.
I recon she must be a young mother if she only has one kitten................good on you for wanting to do something for her............many would turn a blind eye.
A terrible day on our roads today...............2 fatalities...............one a young mum........24 and heavily pregnant.............crash into by a 15 year old in a stolen car.......................her baby had to be born at 32 weeks..........so sad for him to lose his mother on the day of his birth................Facebook if filled with posts by people who are outraged by it.

There is a cat protection society here Flashie, but it would be a very long drive with a hostile/distressed cat in the car. There are a lot of flats and apartments around here... People must just leave their animals behind when they move. Heartless imo.
that accident was shocking Flashie... I hope the baby makes it, I know they are doing their best.
have a great week-end away !

I didn't watch the tennis but that Nick Kyrigos- another tantrum?? he really needs to cut it out
I've been out to feed the starving stray this morning- but she doesn't seem to have her kitten with her, maybe he's just asleep somewhere

Freddie
So sorry to read about the Princess's problems. It is something many of us have gone through or are currently going through - but knowing that does not make it any easier
Deb - I suspect there is a sign on your fence - stray cats fed and watered here.
I well recall the massive effort you put in with your current two - sense you might be getting a third to join the pack ![]()
More power to you Deb - you are a good person.
I wonder how Flashie is going - missed her departure but will look forward to some pics on her return.
If I have to watch another APT ad I might have to turn the TV off - so sick and tired of them - talk about saturation advertising.
You can probably guess what I am doing lol. Just home from the office and watching the doubles.
Back tonight hopefully

Totally agree with you about Kyrgios Deb - hopefully Lleyton will be able to knock some of that unacceptable behaviour out of him.
