you're lucky to have them Clair, To my kids they're a bit of mystery, they haven't actually seen many. Yet when I was a kid, there were taddies in every puddle

I remember one night coming home from visiting a friend of ours.............we cam across the Bowen Bridge (see picture).....and I thought I say a cat walking across the rails.
I thought the least I could do was to try and get it.............I am nto sure what I was going to do with it when I found it.
So we drove all the was across the bridge till we found somewhere to turn around and go back the other way.
We drove to where we last saw the cat on the rails and pulled up (there was no other traffic....it was rather late)........climbed over the barrier.................and it was a possum.
No way was I going to try and pick up a wild possum...............I figured he could manange to get himself the rest of the way across alll by himself..................but what a strange place to be.

Last night we decided to go to bed early...........a rarity in this house.
I got awoken by this loud noise a couple of hours later...........(of course hubby heard nothing)
I listened...............nothing.........so I thought I must have dreamt it...........so I went back to sleep.
About 90 minutes later..............I was woken up by this noise again.............it sounded like a child walking along with a ruler clicking on the fence..............(again hubby heard nothing....
)
I got up and looking out the window....................nothing..........went and got a drink..........and still heard nothing...........so I went back to bed.
Later................I can hear it again...............this time our youngest son heard it too....(and you guessed it......hubby slept through it)
I know this because I bumped into him in the dark hallway and frightened both of us.
We chatted and tried to figure out what it was we heard.............and couldn't decide...............we had a look outside (through the windows of course).................nothing................so we went back to bed.
About an hour later our son comes into our bedroom to tell us...(well me.....because hubby was asleep through this too)
It was our cat Maggie..................she had decided to have a snooze in the towel cupboard in the bathroom.....an no one had noticed her missing at bed time.
So instead of meowing like a normal cat would..............she decided to scratch on the door......which rattled the coathangers that were on the back of the door.
That sorted ..............we finally get back to sleep.
Hubby wakes up this morning.............and tell me what a good sleep he had...............I just gave him "the look".

Don't say that Karen! Maybe someone else has found him this time. Did he have a tag with their phone number on it?
