Spiteful nasty little comments still. Didn't you see Tim on the weekend and last week at the Ball?

I agree spiteful but then again what do you expect from this poster?

I was disappointed that Ms Gillard passed comment on making it easier for the next woman and the next and the next woman. IMO there was no need to bring 'gender' into it.....has nothing to do with gender. So it was because she was a woman she was outed????....:| No the party was / is in dire straights and in need of a change. Ms Gillard did not win her position by the voters....a hung election gave independants the right to cast their vote for her. I doubt Mr Rudd will be able to help much. Too much back stabbing leaves a nasty taste for voters.

Labor has a lot of work ahead if they wish voters to have trust in them as a strong party worthy of leadership of this country.

Sorry Twinkles I do feel her gender had a lot to do with things. Especially in the lead up to last night. I have never seen a Prime Minister so hounded and abused by people and the press.

We do not vote for the Prime Minister in Australia. It is done by the party. We vote for our local members. The elected members vote for the PM. This is not America.

What has labor done that is so wrong. We have low unemployment, interest rates and AAA rating. We weathered the GFC and have not gone into recession as other countries have.

Abbott backstabbed Turnbull to become leader of the opposition I believe.

We will agree to disagree PCT:-x But you are right the party is voted in not the leader.....but Labor won by default not on voters votes:-p (runs fast)

Given that the fact of her gender has been made so much of by those in the media and those that dislike her so much, her comment was 100% relevant.

As a woman I hope, as she does, that the way has been paved and made smoother for the next generation of women who aspire to the role of Prime Minister.

Entirely agree that is is a gender issue. It couldn't not be. We have seen even women making denigrating comments about her competence, her looks, her hair, her body..... the list is long.
