Rules Check

If people are idiots are you allowed to say so?

It seems you can say lots of things about people that are ok, I was just wondering if idiot was one of them?

South

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

could be donna, if someone felt it was an "interpersonal dispute", so better not to do any of that. It's so subjective that it border's on the ridiculous. The "interpersonal dispute" thing reminds me of an ex-friend, if you said "I don't like uneven hems" and she had once purchased such a garment - she would take that as a personal attack, 2 day's later you would get an sms banging on about how hurt she was.    Best be careful, and don't mention any id that may no longer be registered - although how on earth are you supposed to know that.

I think it all basically comes down to the Golden Rule.  Treat others they way you would like to be treated.  Can't go wrong.

Re: Rules Check

So being naive doesn't actually count?

For example, sometimes people involve themselves in things/subjects way over their head and then admit they don't know anything about the subject, is it fair to call them naive?

Would uneducated be a better term?

Yes you can. Some people have a sense of humour. Some don't.
