I never trusted Hawke and always considered him to be a great actor.

Decisions in 1986 allowed Rupert Murdoch to dominate the press, a consequence that hurt Rudd and Gillard governments
n 1986 the Hawke cabinet made decisions that unleashed far-reaching changes in Australian media ownership and control.

I don't agree with Rudd's take on a lot of things and I trust him about 70% on most of the things he says he stands on. That's about 60% more than I do with other politicians in Labour and Liberal etc. I believe there is some good in the man and with his account below, he nails so much of what is going on here. When people are terrified of retribution as he says, we have to stand back and have a real look at what's happening to us. The vision is terrifying.

I appeared today before the Senate making the case of 500,000+ Australians who signed up for #MurdochRoyalCommission. I’d like to thank each of the senators who participated, and more importantly all of those signatories who made this happen.

Good on Kevin. A good deal of what he has said takes guts.

I mostly agree with you. I will say that Sky News does report some stuff that other news outlets don't. This can be useful for those wanting to know the full story on certain issues. Sadly there's also a stance that does appeal to rednecks. And News Corp, what a joke it is.

It's almost as if he (The big R.M.) is a dictator and ruling Australia by proxy. Partly true, except he's doing someone else's bidding. I haven't always liked what Turnbull has done, still don't and there's still a fair bit about the man I do not trust. But he is believable on this.

Very good article myoclon1cjerk!
Need more proof? This guy RM appears to be an horrific enforcer for huge companies. Even though I don't fully buy into the "Global Warming" theory, I believe we have edged nearly to the point where pollution and environmental destruction are going to be totally irreversible. There we will have an unstoppable fast downward slide. The tombstone on the grave of this planet should include in its credits the names of certain perpetrators and enablers.
