I don't know about anyone else. but I nor our business, is any longer buying anything remotely Russian.
This is not so much choosing to take a side, but merely not wanting to be seen as condoning recent events.

A great feel good story.

Putinโs regime is stealing lives, humanitarian supplies, emotional and mental security, Ukrainian people (forcibly taken to Russia) and Ukraineโs territory. I do not think that Putinโs people are above stealing collectibles owned by resistant Ukrainians, fleeing Ukrainians, or slaughtered Ukrainians.
I regretfully conclude that buying from someone on eBay claiming to be Ukrainian and selling Ukrainian collectible items is so embedded in a wasteland of uncertainty of provenance, ownership, genuineness and identity that I would not even contemplate such a purchase.
Itโs not only Russians serving Putinโs purpose that could be involved. There are conmen/scammers who are already using the western sentiment against the Russian invasion for their own scamming fraudulent disgusting self-serving purposes.
No; for me, official charities/fundraising is the way to go.

Ukraine is a country that fronted by an actor. Sound familiar? Actors, puppets etc., there's going to be issues with official charities and the distribution there.
BTW: Search for - Ukraine hotbed for nazi in Bing and some interesting things come up. There's possibly more to this story than meets the eye. That being said, Putin needs to stand trial for what he has done. Replacement is in order! Mind you, we shouldn't forget what Bush had done. It's beyond belief that he is still allowed freedom. The humanitarian crisis caused by that war was, is unfathomable and immeasurable! The invasion created horrific side issues. Sadly because the Iraqi people were Arabs, there was not much of an outcry. With what former Liberal Party President, John Valder said about Howard I have to nod my head in agreement. Is our level of compassion measured by ethnicity or skin colour of the victim? Today the outpouring of sympathy towards Ukranians is amazing and a week's worth seems to surpass the total sympathy for the Iraqis for the duration.
Anyway, the short of it is, Russia needs to desist. If Vlad's talking nuclear then it's obvious he needs to be replaced. But the flexing of muscles and "see how far I can p**" by the US will only exacerbate the problem.

I have no problem with a man's background being in acting. It's probably a better past than having been a KGB spy.
I won't jump down the rabbit hole of a search on Bing for Russia's propaganda about denazifying Ukraine. What matters is that this is an illegal and unwarranted invasion, and it is causing terrible suffering, and it is happening now, not in the past - now.

They're probably no better than each other.

If you choose to look, you'll notice that there are sites that come up that are not "Russia's propaganda about denazifying Ukraine".
Is it possible that Ukraine's reluctance to address its Neo-Nazi problem has given Putin the excuse he wanted? Some people may see parallels between this invasion and Bush II's invasion of Iraq.

Ukraine's Nazi problem is real, even if Putin's 'denazification' claim isn't

Not acknowledging this threat means that little is being done to guard against it.Of the many distortions manufactured by Russian President Vladimir Putin to justify Russiaโs assault on Ukraine, perhaps the most bizarre is his claim that the action was taken to โdenazifyโ the country and its leadership. In making his case for entering his neighborโs territory with armored tanks and fighter jets, Putin has stated that the move was undertaken โto protect peopleโ who have been โsubjected to bullying and genocide,โ and that Russia โwill strive for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.โTo read more please click on the below link

An invasion is illegal and unwarranted no matter who's doing the invading. Where were you when Iraq was invaded, causing the deaths and displacement of all of those human beings?

@4channel
the way you have structured the bolded part of your post above makes it seem like you are asking countess if she was causing the deaths and displacement of all those human beings.
Maybe you need a proof reader and not an alerter.

Someone that I love very much was brutally and carelessly sexually assaulted by an armed man who pointed his gun at her. 4channel, should I ask where you were when that happened?
Someone that I love very dearly was run over by a truck and in a coma for 6 months. 4channel, should I ask where you were when that happened?
People in my life have been hurt, injured, betrayed, subjected to the horrors of war, mistreated, tortured, humiliated. Should I ask...?
Of course not! That would be outrageous.
You are either suggesting that I was involved in the war in Iraq, or suggesting that at the time of the invasion of Iraq, I failed to do something that was my legal or moral responsibility in respect of that invasion. Neither is true.
This is a very specific thread. It isn't entitled Superpowers then and now - such a disgrace! kopenhagen's opening post didn't include a link to the Roman invasion of Britain, the Goth sacking of Rome, the invasion by the Golden Horde of Volga Bulgaria, the US invasion of Iraq, the home invasion by unknown robbers of my best friend's house, etc. No. There's one link there. It's very specific. It ties in with the rest of the contents of the opening post, and with the subject heading of this thread.

You know what I was asking. I was asking where your voice was back then when Iraq was being invaded because of Weapons of Mass Destruction that didn't even exist? It seems that with some people, the description of humanity depends on skin colour or even religion. If Iraqis where white and non-Muslim, I wonder if they would have been looked at more sympathetically.
There are parallels between this invasion and what took place 20 odd years ago. Both invasions had so-called justifications. Bush had no justification what so ever and nether does Putin here! Strange and disappointing as Russia, like China was the voice of reason back then. Now it appears that they are doing similar to what the US had done.
