Since you know what it means, how does it apply to anyone on this thread?

In response to post 35 by Sambuau (sorry for the scramble).

Hello Sambuau.

I'm a little stunned that there is an ordinated priest in the anglican church who would have the nerve to take the position (publically, and while in service) of saying he does not believe in what he has been ordained (voluntarily) to do via what he believes in terms of christianity, as that would be the basis of those years in a seminary.

If it is true, then one reason I would be compelled to believe that he was a hypocrite from the very start, and using the church not as a true vocation, but rather, as a means to an end for 'something to do'.

The only other explanation, is perhaps he is suffering from some kind of brain disease which has led him to become unfocussed and confused which he cannot help, I don't know.

Having stated that, I am not a christian or religious in any way and indeed, would have nothing to do with it .. however, do you think there could  be something else going on with the priest that is quite odd that could be diagnosed as rendering him totally out of control, and therefore not totally responsible for, within his life?

I am unsure.I just believe he is a meglomaniac that wants to be heard and does not care who he hurts to get what he wants.

Just my opinion but I think the reason the OP has contacted the Episcopal Commission is simply because the minister in question does not share the OP's fire and brimstone beliefs...I have seen a lot of the Gosford churches posts and they are all promoting Christianity...and treating everyone as equal....which is hardly a bad thing.

No the Gosford church does not promote Christianity.

How does "Eat Halal" promote christianity? How does"happy ramadam" promote Christianity?

He doesnt treat every one as equal. If you do not agree with him you are not allowed to voice dissent on his facebook eg.Many left the church and he filled it with people who do not believe Jesus existed and have stated in some cases they would like to see the church destroyed.

As for for saying "Just my opinion but I think the reason the OP has contacted the Episcopal Commission is simply because the minister in question does not share the OP's fire and brimstone beliefs." can you answer ONE question.

Can you be a Christian if you do not believe that Jesus died on the Cross for the sins of mankind"?

I think you know the answer.

That doctrine is the doctrine of the Church. It is in the creed, the Constitution, and the Book of Common Prayer.

When you become a priest you must make statements and vows to that effect.

You cannot be a Christian if you deny basic truths and you CANNOT be a priest and preach that Jesus did not exist and did not die on the Cross for salvation of man and that Heaven does not exist.

It has NOTHING to do with mt beliefs. It has to do with his lack of belief.
