Watched it yesterday after the superbowl. The images give new meaning to Sixto Rodriguez's music. It is an evocatively empowering piece. That music written on another continent could help fuel and spread a cultural revolution is an endictment of the lyrics. The self effacing manner of Sixto and the turmoil that he experienced is a blueprint to triumph through adversity and his "reply" is the mark of the man and his music.
It is a true life, little known, feel good story.....as Molly would say "do yourself a favour" especially if Cold fact was one of the first pieces of vinyl you owned

Sugar man, won't you hurry
'Cause I'm tired of these scenes
For a blue coin won't you bring back
All those colors to my dreams
Silver magic ships you carry
Jumpers, coke, sweet Mary Jane
Sugar man met a false friend
On a lonely dusty road
Lost my heart when I found it
It had turned to dead black coal.
Silver magic ships you carry
Jumpers, coke, sweet Mary Jane
Sugar man you're the answer
That makes my questions disappear
Sugar man 'cause I'm weary
Of those double games l hear
Sugar man
Sugar man
Sugar man

go you good thing a BAFTA for best documentary
The guy got the ideas for the doco while backpacking in South Africa and filmed most of this documentary with an iphone4 on a whim
.... It is a red hot favourite to win an Academy award next week...
CBS 60 minutes has done a segment on Rodriguez but it really is a spoiler if you intend to watch the doco so don't watch the 60 minutes/ Lettermen segments till after you view the documentary
