What do you think? Mum is running alongside but not beside him.....

7 months, is he strong enough in the neck to be doing that? I know some babies walk this early but I don't know if I could allow it, even if he does like it.

Having worked with a lot of paediatricians, I am sure they would be very concerned for this baby.

Are you a Pediatrician?  I'm guessing not....I would like to hear the opinion of someone who is though.

The baby is 7 months old, to young to know what is good for him and to make an informed choice,  do we let children do things just because they want to or they appear happy doing whatever. No, we need to keep their safety in mind and that was not safe.

I am a trained baby nurse.

Next time you go to your doctor, ask her.

So no....you are not a Pediatrician :-).....as I said, Doctors encourage babies to do exercises to develop this sort of strength, as a "trained baby nurse" you should know that...:-)

I really fail to understand what all the old harpies are on about here.

It's a healthy looking ankle biter, obviously enjoying himself they're on about, no injuries, no harm done to anyone, and all fully supervised by caring parents by all accounts, so just what is the problem?

Other than being fun police and whinging for the sake of it that is, GEEZ! :_|

sometimes I just can't believe what I read here...

so Design... do you think that baby is strong enough to withstand being thrown onto the water and not sustain any injury???

the fontenelle has not even healed up properly.. the brain is still at risk of damage.

When a child that age falls it can't even put it's arms out properly to catch the fall....

Both my boys were walking at 6 months and even they would not have been strong enough...
