If his antics weren't so self serving I might see him slightly as a media martyr. Plus I can't fail to see the hypocrisy of consistently preaching about criminals while consistently breaching laws himself. You can't decry a criminal while becoming one yourself.

I don't think he is self serving, I suspect he thinks he is doing the right thing....................but he is smart enough and has connections enough to push for changes.

He has always fought for the underdog and right no matter the cost to himself, its a shame he suffered from drinking, that was most likely brought on by seeing and knowing how corrupt and rotten the system is and knowing he cant do a thing about it.

I wonder how he would have gone if he had stood as a  member in parliament, I think he would have had to stand as an independent because I doubt he would toe the party line if he disagreed with a policy, thats the problem with the major parties.

One who breaks an unjust law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for law.
