Sharing My Daughters Thoughts From An ICU Nurse

My Daughter posted this on FB yesterday.

I am in the USA and was unsure of which board to post this to.  An eBay.au member ask me to share this, so please excuse me if I posted on the wrong board.

The virus takes no sides.

This thread was concerning the frontline - what they deal with on a daily basis - what happens & what they see.

With the hope the right decisions will eventually be made.

By the same politicians that David is not allowed to mention?

His post could have gone without answering to keep the thread on a sympathetic nature.

Some, and not just one, couldn't keep their silence though.

I sympathise with the OP's daughter and hope there's an end in sight in the near future and that she stays safe and well.

Re: Sharing My Daughters Thoughts From An ICU Nurse

David, I agree with you that this board has changed a bit, especially since the outbreak of coronavirus. I've noticed some people are more upfront and there seems to be more emotion in some threads. But the OP's opening sentences read, "Right now we are divided... Re-open or stay at home. I'm not here to debate it". IMO the intent was to address the reality of this pandemic from the perspective of a Covid ICU Nurse.

Personally, I was overwhelmed by the post and chose not to 'debate' the politics. IMO the Nurse was attempting to communicate the severity of the situation in hospitals and the true difficulties being experienced by staff and patients. Yes, we are all entitled to express our views. But maybe some of us need to tone it down a bit and be a little more thoughtful.
