Shorten is playing the lying game again, re igniting the class war and showing Labor has not changed from the Rudd Gillard years of failure and division.
His reply offered no solution to the problem they left behind, the silvertail socialist lecturing the government on how to run the budget staggers belief.
Shorten completely failed this test. He offered no solutions and accepted no responsibility to help fix the mess left by Labor.

I sent Shorten a congratulatory message last night on twitter, it sounded to me as if Labor are finally getting back to their roots
I also sent TA a message on his budget

Yes I sent Bill an email congratulating him on his budget reply, i think it was what we were all waiting and hoping for and he didn't disappoint.

he made no effort reply to address the budget, he was legless because of the $600 BILLION debt they left behind themselves so he attacked, he used his time to politic, whip up anger and nothing else.
I see that the left still haven't moved on from the addictive politics of division, envy, class wars and gender wars so loved by Gillard and her ilk.
Poor things, they will languish in the doldrums for years and still cling onto the failures of the past, can't move on, can't offer anything new just more of the same.

Poor Bill, all he could do was tell the disappointed how disappointed he is. What a fool and the fools lap it up.

Abbott is the one who put the elephant in the room. So he’s really has no one, but himself, to blame for its existence.
Before the last election, when it came to election promises, the expectation was they were given in good faith, on the understanding that sometimes, things happens, which means they can’t be kept. As to mandates, the expectation was that Governments would limit themselves to what they had a mandate to do (express or implied), but again, on the understanding that sometimes, things happens which requires the Government to act in the absence of one. It then was then up to the electorate, at the next election, to decide the bona fides o the explanations given. These were norms accepted by all sides of politics, because all sides benefited from them, and they are the norms which the Abbott government wants it actions to be measured now.
So where’s the Elephant? During his last term in opposition, he, (Abbott), abandoned these norms. Instead from that point onwards promises became sacrosanct and incapable of being being broken irrespective of any change in circumstance. Now governments were bound by mandates or the absence thereof. Then he put the final nail in his own coffin by saying any Government which beaks It’s promises or introduced or amended legislation without a mandate was morally corrupt and therefore had right to govern.
So what happening now. He’s simply being measured against a yardstick of his own creation.

Actually he did adress the budget. Didn't you watch his speech?
Where is this $600B debt you keep insisting that Labor left? The debt ceiling was $300B. Hockey raised it and almost doubled the debt.
