Many other countries including Britain and some European countries are struggling with the social carnage poor border control can have. It is one of the main reasons the Brits voted for Brexit.
In an idealistic, Utopean paridise ( ie. A Greens world ) the idea of us all living together in perfect harmony, without race or borders sounds magical, unfortunately the reality is completely different. If Governments bow to the social media whining of the niave and open their borders to anyone who comes, the countries citizens must accept very high unemployment rates, drastically reduced wages, falling standards of living, drastically reduced standards of social welfare, swamped health systems, housing crisis and social disruption as new migrants pour in bringing their national battles and religous hatreds to our shores.
I suspect if those who support an open border policy actually had to live with the concequences they may begin to understand the folly of their niave ideas. Unfortunately the regret would come too late as once the Genie is released from the bottle, it cant be put back in again..

We certainly do, which is all the more reason to support strong border policy. Unfortunately like so many other touchy, feely policies expoused by the left side of politics, its not the Latte drinking public servents living in Canberra who suffer the brunt of leftist policy decisions, its those Australians who are poor, the unemployed, those in housing stress, the aged and Centrelink recipients.
Renewable energy sounds great in theory, but who is it who cant afford to turn the air conditionor on in temperature extemes ? Its not the inner city Greens supporters, its aged pensioers and the unemployed.
Its the same with open border policies. It wont be public servent Greens supporters who will have racial and religous tensions festering in their housing estates or battling to find low skilled employment opportunities in an already tight employment market. It will be those Australians who already live in social housing and whose kids are struggling to get a job in a fast food joint who will live with the consequences of Labors weak border policies.
Australia already has a generous ( by world standards ) immigration policy and we already welcome many who genuinely face persecution to our country. We need to keep the existing checks and balances in place to ensure those in genuine need are not turned away at the expense of ecenomic migrants who come here without following the correct procedures.

Why do all of your posts need to turn into Labor bashing posts? I get it that you hate Labor and its policies but as a Labor supporter. I find your never end Laboring bashing both ridiculous. and frankly quite boring.
Now back to the OP pls

Why do all of your posts need to turn into Labor bashing posts?Just trying to provide a bit of balance to the overwhelming majority of posters on this forum who spend all day, every day bashing the LNP.
I get it that you hate Labor
Not true at all. If you took the time to read my posts after the last federal election you would see I was very accepting of the need for a Labor government to restore some balance to social policy. Something that is not going to occur under the current Liberal Government. In fact on a two party preferred basis my vote placed Labor ahead of the Liberals. Had my first preferance independant candidate not been elected ( and that was very possible ) my vote at the last election would have gone to Labor.
and its policies
Well there you have it in a nutshell. Yes I am very disappointed and disillusioned with the direction the ALP are going. They are supposed to be the party that represents and supports those who are struggling. Low income workers in low skilled jobs, the aged, unemployed and underemployed. Instead the ALP has become a party of inner city socialists, beholden to the Greens, the union bosses, the bureaucracy and it would seem their Chinese bosses. They have completely forgotten their roots and have deserted struggling Australians at a time when their traditional policies are desperately needed. They have turned their back to thier traditional support base, are completely out of touch and appear to be more corrupt than at some other times in the parties history. So am I disappointed in Labors policies.....Yep you bet I am.....
but as a Labor supporter. I find your never end Laboring bashing both ridiculous. and frankly quite boring.
Exactly how many LNP supporters feel about both your posts and those of others that constantly make childish, stupid, uninformed remarks about the Prime Minister and members of the Liberal party.
Now back to the OP pls
My post was a direct refference to the effects of migration policy on Australia's citizens, but all you saw was the ONE refrence I made to the Labor party.

Hello, everyone.
This thread is getting a little off-topic. Could we please bring the discussion back to "Should They Be Deported?"
Thanks!
