I didn't know this type of racism had a definition.
Polite racism – involves an attempt to disguise a dislike of others through behaviour that appears non-prejudice.
Example: “I’m not racist but…”

Not going to "split hairs" .... The original question was "should they be banned?" ... My answer YES! easy peasy

My answer is No. I also believe it is very unlikely the burqa will be banned in the forseeable future in Australia.
The Muslim population, largest in EU, in France is estimated at 5 million. The burka or niqab is worn there by, perhaps 2000 women.
Wonder what the number of burka or niqab wearers in Australia would be? A hundred or so?

That picture of the woman sitting on the road in a blue burka brought back horrific images of the one stoned to death on the street like a dog.

I am thinking of wearing a Burqa this summer so i dont get another skin cancer.
I think i will go for Bright Pink

So, those who want to ban the Burqa in case the person is hiding an AK47 or a BIG knife................. will that also mean that the priests at my grandchild's school will not be allowed to dress like this anymore? (please note, these priests are not the ones from her school, just 3 of the same order.)
