A bit hard to be the face of anything when you're wearing a burqa

I think that's the whole point of the burqa and you've hit the nail right on the head, there.

The burqa is designed to efface the wearer.

So how can she possibly be described as :a charming exampke (sic)  of the face of islam in our country.

Well we're assuming she does have a face under there somewhere.

ban the burqa????

That is as ridiculous as saying " I don't like dogs.....I do not understand them......they are scary, so let us make it a rule that everytime one is taken out into the public, the owner must place a paper bag on its head"....great thinking

She abused a police officer, accused him of being a racist then filed a false charge against him. She should have served time.

She did a written false statement about him, that's perjury which carries a 15-year-jail-sentence, don't understand why she got off so lightly.

That happened because the officer who took the statement, did not ask her to identify herself. His/her mistake..........can't prove perjury as it could have been anybody.

Exactly, another reason why they need to ban the burka!

Her fingerprints would have been on the statement plus her signature, plenty of evidence to prove it was her.

She wasn't wearing a burqa
Despite the public perception, fingerprints are not easily obtained from paper....................and the officer should have asked her to identify herself. He/She knew that and didn't do it. I bet they do next time.

Our resources are stretched enough without calling in a handwriting expert and a forensics team.

Ok Az.

She was wearing a Niqab over the Abaya, which covered here from head to toe leaving only the eyes visible. She accused him of trying to pull the niqab off her head which was a proven lie.

They couldn't prove it because the person who subsequently made the statement couldn't be proven to be the same person in the video.

Which is a good reason the law requires that head and face coverings must be removed for identification.
