And the dress code is? Over to you S_N.
As I said that was some 10 years ago, in Melbourne.. Obviously I was not talking about the event in your area. But just because the people organising the event over your way did not point out in their invitation that coming in bikinis is not acceptable, that does not mean it is not disrespectful do so.
What if you could hide all your idiotic behaviour behind a religion? That would make it both respectable and acceptable wouldn't it? What is your G*d said..."in you I have created the most beautiful of beings. Show the world the beauty I have created" Wouldn't that make it OK? You have indicated that muslims should be allowed to wear habiliments dictated by their religion. Are you saying that others may not? Wouldn't that make you a hyp..........?

Then you are not a Catholic according to the bible. You are a 2014 version of a Catholic.
I don't think the word 'Catholic' ever appears in the bible. Catholicism is one interpretation of the bible plus a lot of rules tacked on by Church fathers at a later date -rules such as abstaining from meat on a Friday, fasting on specified days during Lent, compulsory attendance at Sunday Mass, no divorce no abortion, no birth control. Some fundamentalist Catholics still adhere strictly to all these rules, but they are not 'written in stone' and over the years many have been relaxed or discarded by the mainstream Church..

No. Hide your behaviour behind a religion. Maybe you might refuse to shake the hand of a male. You might even be confined to the house which might be OK with you. You might cover yourself with black material. Just think, the capriciousness of your behaviour makes perfect sense to you but to no one else. It's all OK because it's what your religion allows and permits.

We have the Bible, then we have Canon Law, which is essentially the name for the Catholic Church's order and discipline, structures, rules, and procedures.
The Catholic Church has two Codes, one for the Latin Church and one for the Eastern Catholic Churches.

As long as your religious practices do not not impinge on the rights of others, I don't see the problem, and should you refuse admission to your house, club, restaurant or place of worship to people you consider inappropriately dressed, then I don't have a problem with that either.

I believe women are forced to wear this garment in places where sharia law is the law of the land.

I believe there is a third, Abyssinian (Ethiopian) rite as well.

I don't think they belong to the Roman Catholic Church though?
