Is anyone else having to continually sign into the boards. Every time I leave the boards open and leave my computer for a few hours I have to sign back in.
It is driving me nuts. Is there a setting I'm missing, something to keep me logged in ? I find it a total PITA.

Boy you're as rude as they come aren't you. I did post the answer for you.
I'm not having the same problem because I followed those instructions. So who needs to do their homework ya snob?

Also, leaving a dialogue box open does not work either. As soon as you go to another page you have to sign in again anyway.
I was originally told by one of the Mods that we had one hour of inactivity before we were logged out.
Once I log in I rarely leave for any more than a half an hour except when I finish up for the day and it is a lot longer than 2 hours so I can't really say from experience.
Strange about the links, it's a German link that works here. It wasn't important....just "decoration", lol.
I think Stawka misunderstood me. I would have responded sooner, but was having breakfast and wasn't planing on responding back in this thread. But seeing as my posts weren't removed as requested, and others like yourself responding...I need to clarify. In post 16 I was specific, unlike my previous post to that one. I thought the hint was enough.
I used to have to log in constantly (edit: every 15 mintutes, 1/2 hour...sometimes an hour if I was lucky) until I did as instructed. Clearing cookies is always a good start in case a cookie has been corrupted. In the link explains how to set your computer to avoid constantly logging in.
In case the post vanishes later than helpful, I'll be happy to PM it to anyone wanting to give it whirl.
Well....almost anyone, lol.

Yep, always worth a try. Just like when you gave me advice when I first came to the net....always gave it a shot and it worked out. Strange not taking advice from someone NOT having the issues being discussed.

personally, i don't have an issue with it timing out on me, i don't venture this site near as much as i used to. i might have a peek and a quick post once a day and that's about it. plus..when i need to sign-in it's made easy using google chrome, with it's saved PW feature.. it's a breeze to use in a situation such as this... it's just a matter of clicking buttons you don't have to type anything.
this subject came up when lithium first appeared, people suggested the time-out period to be lengthened & lithium obliged!
either way anybody annoyed by this timeout thing..also can change browsers

Yes, 14 tabs just might keep you active enough to stop the ebay gremins from catching up with you.
I only juggle about 5 at a time.

BEWARE - SHARP RIGHT TURN AHEAD...
Could anyone tell me please, how to get rid of that infuriating Windows 10 pop up advert that keeps appearing ad nauseam ? It's driving me bonkers.
(Other than taking up their offer, that is).
