Sineater - psst...in here

I just watched Materchef  US Season 5 Episode 1

(Thought I better start a new thread and not hijack the Australian one)

Plus we can add Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares to this one too.

LMAO!!

I'd have to say a three.

Spoiler
Unless hubby's not watching me write this, then it's a solid 10!! LOL

OK - you pass LOL

I'm in Oz, so rely on You Tube to see my GR shows as I don't have Pay TV (or any tv actually) so am at the mercy of when some kind soul uploads them for me.

ATM, I get Masterchef US season 5 on a Tuesday Night and Hell's Kitchen on a Friday Night (my time)

I think I am pretty much at the same episodes as you guys, maybe a day or so behind.

May I ask, are you in the industry? (doesn't matter if you're not LOL) or is it just the GR HOT factor that has you intrigued?

Spoiler
BTW - heard he had plastic surgery for the wrinkles/cranky face lines on his forehead - can anyone confirm that? He is looking a lot smoother these days - One of my mates is Exec Chef of one of the hotels where GR has one of his restaurants, so doesn't work with/for him, but gets to meet up with him etc  *jealous lookin'*

Also curious, do you like any of his other shows?

On you tube, I have

The F Word (all 4 seasons)

His home cooking shows

Bits and pieces of Kitchen Nightmares

Hotel GB

2 episodes of  Hotel Hell from season 1

Behind Bars

I reckon I'd like to do the Julia and Juliette thing with one of his home cooking shows - but just one a week or fortnight - not the recipe a night like in J&J

I do have fantasies about working through The Joy of Cooking J&J style, but meh - I'm not that disciplined

Boiling Point

Beyond Boiling Point

A few of his Great Escape series (haven't watched those yet though - just found them)

oh and MasterChef US Junior season 1

Wow, you really ARE a fan Crickey! Smiley Very Happy

I knew he had done a lot of shows, but seeing them all layed out like that is amazing. I only started watching him four years ago when hubby moved out here from New England. He is a HUGE fan of GR and i believe has watched most of his shows. Hells Kitchen is my favorite, followed by Master Chef. I've also watched some of the kitchen nightmares and hotel nightmares. The hotel one didn't really grab me, but I hear it's coming back.

As for the others, I haven't watched them....but hubby has saved a lot of them on the computer and we might try to hook them up one day so we can watch them on t.v. I'm pretty sure he has a man crush on Gordon! LOL But I benefit because he loves to cook and he gets a lot of great recipes from Gordon off the computer. Heart

As for being in the industry, not even close.....although I was a baker for many years.  Although I never counted it as real baking because after a year or so of making things by scratch, the company changed everything up and brought in a lot of parbaked product. It was disappointing.

heard he had plastic surgery for the wrinkles/cranky face lines on his forehead - can anyone confirm that?

I think maybe he did, but.....shrug.gif

well to be fair, it's not like I see much other TV - if its not on You Tube - I don't see it

It does look like a lot when you write it out like that, eh?

I really shouldn't have watched that link - - a lot of not very photogenic pictures eh - and it is so startling to see the before and after side by side - it's doesn't stand out as much in general - like you register, geez, hees got some fromn lines, but it blends in and just becomes part of who he is iykwim

OK folks - episode 2 => GR gets really naked LOL

seems he's not shy about taking a bath for the cameras!

But you so have to watch episode 3 and see Scooter (he doesn't get naked (but GR does again LOL) so not "see him" - just watch out for him iykwim)

- and then see the end of the show

- made me cry! (in a good way)

just something really, really sweet. (and it isn't apple pie)

Sorry about the link *crikey*mate*. I was posting at three in the morning and getting ready to head off to bed, so I didn't think to warn you. Hope you will recover from the shock.

I also forgot to say thank you to Sin for the recipee. Although I'm not really a beet person myself gak.gif,  it was very kind and thoughtful of you to go to the trouble.

I do, however, blame Vanny and her evil powers of suggestion. Smiley Wink
