Something you didn't expect with a particular poster.

What things did you find contrary to what pre-conceived idea you had of a particular poster or something about them that really surprised you?

I was surprised to find out Elephant is a lot older than I thought. 

Also surprised Icy is actually witty for a grandma.

I did not bring crikey's children into anything on cs, I pm'd her to suggest she remove her children's identifying details from the thread as it was easily determined by anyone reading it, which school they attended. Crikey has made it clear where she lives and given details about the school, numerous times.

I saw a link to the school newsletter in which the same details were available to anybody online.

Bringing children into any disagreement is wrong and using the information against a poster is even worse.

There are posters here who really don't care what they might be doing to put children at risk, it seems. I also believe I said the thread should be reported.

Az, I never said you brought my kids into the context, only to inform me that the link to their newlsetter was being circulated - and NO - it was not easily determined by the information put here - I do disagree with that. The school my kids go to is not the only school that takes it's kids on Mission Trips, and it certainly isn't the only one around here. Additionally, several of the schools here all travel on their annual mission trip together as it is primarily a community endeavour - and there are an awful lot of schools on the Gold Coast - so be able to determine exactly which one my kids go to takes a certain amount of passing on private information skill.

So nice of you to cover up for whomever did pass that information onto you - but your do need to work on your methodology.

I mentioned you because you did make the post on cs about having received the link, so knew you could verify that it had been passed around.

Crikey.... I have no idea if it was passed around or not, I do know I saw it and so did one other person that I know of.

It was easily discernable where your children go to school, you have given out so much information it would be impossible not to.

I am not covering for anybody, as a matter of fact, I would be hard pressed to even recall who the poster was who showed it to me but one thing I am sure of, it was not one of your "close" friends, former or current.

I can't see where Puddle justified stalking your children and as for apologies, they usually aren't worth anything here, as  there will be more expected.

She read the post incorrectly, as I did when I first saw it. You knew it was me who pm'd you, no doubt. However, your post makes it look like I was involved in all this garbage and my motivation was simply to suggest you remove your posts id'ing your children.

Pages of kicking the boot in when someone sees something on Facebook.....but when people are sharing information about another's children around behind the scenes , that's fine?!!

You know what... someone on here lives in a world of their own, twists fact that make them look all innocent and that they did nothing to out themselves and and public declare who they are and where they live... 

they think they are so clever and so smart and so cunning that no one can identify them or their children.... 

Someone needs to take a good hard look at what they do and change just about everything they do and say about their kids, husband, themselves and all of their activities. 

There is really only one person on this forum that puts so much information out there about their life that it is astounding... and considering where they are heading in their life they really need to stop and take a good hard look at themselves... no way would I want to hire someone that does what this person does. 

And I say that without malice.. i say it because sometimes I am left gobsmacked and don't think they even know that they are doing it... I think they leave themselves and their family in a very vulnerable position.

Regardless, the point is, it seems there is plenty of outrage over a facebook conversation - but when someone goes to the trouble of stalking someone's kids and reproducing exerts from their school newsletter here on CS, regardless of how they found out about the school, that this is OK, that no one seems to object to that.

Of course people object to that.

Since you posted that comment about your children, quite a few people have said it is unacceptable.

If your thread were on CS now, I would be strongly objecting as would many others.

You know, that doesn't worry/concern me at all. What others post on their own private FB or private groups.. no matter what/who it is about... I don't even want to consider it.

Real life is what should people should concentrate on.

You can't condemn all the people posting on this thread for not caring about details of someone's children being posted etc, if they NEVER saw that thread, never knew it happened.
