What things did you find contrary to what pre-conceived idea you had of a particular poster or something about them that really surprised you?
I was surprised to find out Elephant is a lot older than I thought.
Also surprised Icy is actually witty for a grandma.

well, actually, it was a lurker, someone who didn't have any involvement.

Drop it guys - this wasn't meant to be an issue - I was just pointing out the irony that it seemed OK for people to bring children into a discussion, stalk them back to their school, access their school newsletter and then not only pass that around, but also reveal some of the content here... but then others were sticking the boot in for someone receiving a facebook page?

Dropped ๐ was was interesting though, very telling.

pointing out the irony?
nah, more like taking the focus off the tattle tale and the recipients.

ANd I wasn't referring to the Tasmanian expedition...wasn't the aรงappela group on a TV show..the one about choirs...or Australia's got Talent or similar???

You have stuffed up Sheep and implied that someone did something she did not do.....
If the boot was on the other foot would you drop it??
Pepe has hit the nail on the head...

MadCat was trying to make it look like the Mission Trips didn't even happen - but the link to the newsletter and then the poster reporting exerts from it proved that they did LOLOL
what a lie...
what I was pointing out is that you said you went on the mission but the month you said you went was wrong.. it was a totally different month.. it did not match the month the real trip happened...
you like to twist words to suit your argument...
I NEVER said the mission didn't happen.. I just searched COMMUNITY SPIRIT to show that the information YOU put out showed that you could not have gone when you said you did...

Some people are always going to develop an unhealthy interest in some people. No matter what you post, some people need to search for more, whether out of a salacious need for gossip, to prove their agenda or to attempt to find fault in what you have posted.
It is best to take the view of....Well that is there lot in life, they don't really know the real me and their opinion of me really makes to difference to my life. When I made that choice, a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders.
It seems I have "friends" on both sides...or should I say "all" sides of some of the interpersonal disputes...so it shows that no-one is above these games. It is just a matter of deciding how much energy you want to devote to it.

but that's just it Puddles - they didn't just "find" the newsletter - they had to go searching for it... and then they passed that information around to others in addition to publishing it on CS....
OMG! My children are part of a choir? WOW - I'll alert the media! How naughty of them - and to think it has no connection whatsoever to their school! But you mark my words, I'll be having a chat to that school and asking them why they're not encouraging my kids to hang around the street corners in their spare time selling drugs or graffiting the neighbourhood!
You might need to google just how many private schools there are around here. But I know there are 4 within 1 klm of each other - two of them are side by side.... and then there are 2 more that I know of within 3.5 klm of those.
The thread was actually about refugees I think, and I had been discussing the realities of some of the things a refugee has had to endure.
