All this because a neighbour decides that playing loud doof doof music anywhere between 7am to 8.30am every weekday is ok. And no I can't approach them directly, they are liable to tell me to get stoofed and then cause trouble
Looking back, that is a strange time for a "doof doof music appreciator" to play that music.
Are they covering up some other noise making apparatus?
Is that the time they get home from work?
Present them with a neighbourly gift of headphones?
It's better than jack hammers all day

After speaking to friends they suggested its probably workout music. The person who we think lives there her family have turned into real health nuts recently.
If I knew for sure that she would use the headphones, I'd sell my soul to buy them for her.
I know I am chicken for not confronting them directly. I'd be concerned that something might happen to my dog, more than my own safety.

My neighbours are doof doof dufuses. How people could be so inconsiderate is just beyond me. I've thought about calling their real estate agent and complaining to them. Because it's that bad I've been looking into moving house just to get away from them.
Will let you know secondhand about the letter.
I would call the RE about your neighbours. Do you own your own home or rent? If you rent, let your landlord/RE know you are planning to move because of the noise, its amazing what can happen when they are going to loose money and a good tenant.

Well I had a letter ready to post and this morning the music only lasted for 5-10mins then stopped, so I wonder if one of the other neighbours went and had words with them.
My day just improved, I've got a job interveiw tomorrow!

Well last night I called the police. The night before they had it blaring till 5 in the morning 😮 They (the police) actually came aout 20 minutes after I called them. Then silence for the rest of the night, it was awesome.
But I will consider what you said about calling my agent. The police reccommended calling the local council as well and they can take it up with local laws.
I hate doing this though. I've never had such inconsiderate neighbours, ever. The police basically said if they are annoying you, there are many ways, legally, that we can annoy them lol

I understand how you feel secondhand. I would also take it with the council, keep a diary of times and dates. What are the legal ways to annoy them? Please share!

Just sicking the police onto them I guess, they will fine them $400 for noise pollution or disrupting the peace, local laws also have the authority to fine them. And their realestate agent can come over and do inspections more frequently as it's not just the doof doof, they fight and break windows, kick fence palings off ect. I hate the thought of them being evicted, but when they start up every night at about 11.30, and sometimes go all night and approaching them in person does nothing, it seems like a solution I'd consider.

Why should you worry about them being evicted? They are making your life miserable.

I know roo, you are exactly right. I guess I just dont like being the complaining type ya know? They are young and they do work night shift, well an afternoon shift that finishes at about 11pm, but as soon as we hear their car pull in the driveway we just know that it's never too long before it starts up. I will see how they go over the next week or so, after their visit from the police the other night I'm hoping they get the idea and at least close their windows and front door when they listen to music. We live in a really suburban area and our houses are extremely close, in all fairness they wouldn't have to be very loud for us to hear them.... But it's the sheer lack of consideration that really bugs me. And sub woofers these days have just become menacing to society imo.
