Spending power and easy access to goods

Money is still in circulation - seems the public needs easy online ordering access to local shop inventories , I do not imagine all shops currently have a website with ordering support incl home delivery service

Maybe something the govt could help finance local business with - a local business sector buying portal , setting up a town/suburb shop website that enables online clear searching of items  and ordering during this increasing time of home detention and now increasingly idle but looking for something to do customer base

Items delivered could be paid for online or even cash-on-delivery

I know is nothing new - is just creating virtual shops grouped as per locality ( for quick almost real-time deliveries and to maintain local support)

Even ebay could consider support for enabling grouping shops-on-ebay as per postcode or suburb/town for the same effect , and that would encourage local shops to create ebay-shops and list

I think that you can refine your search on eBay to products within certain amount of Kim from you.

Re: Spending power and easy access to goods

Cool, well that's that obstacle sorted so businesses can access eBay and trade locally.

That might be an employment opportunity for someone. There may be some businesses that would like to set up on eBay and don't know how/need a crash course iykwim.

An eBay logistics tutor lol - teach em how to list and refund etc - give em the insiders guided tour rather than learn as you go kinda thing - advise on delivery options and prices etc

There is a book eBay au for Dummies which might be useful

On line business is a different beast than B&M

The businesses could also set up their own websites, maybe through Dreameeaver if they can't code?

Others might be able to use a website developer -

If you can get an online presence, the possibilities are endless.

Re: Spending power and easy access to goods

eBay for selling has become purely Chinese.

Fees - everytime a click is given.

Moneyback guarantees - a buyers dream - a seller's nightmare.

Yeah, the introduction of that MBG was a key factor in my decision to scamper off with my tail between my legs LOL

I got too sucked in to all the doomsdayers and Chicken Little predictions and bailed!

I'm of two minds as to whether I want to brave the rapids again. Part of me really wants to but there's this little niggly voice in the back of my head saying 'nah, you don't need the drama'. *sigh*

A lot of ebay changes since you sold, Crikey.

I'd be doing a lot of reading up, before dipping a toe in.

Sales have gone from - not too bad - to OK - may happen.

On the whole the only movement - is the nightmare from overseas.

Take care - if you do - of the ' recurring relisting of items - automatically - under - good till sold '.

Yes, that has been my intention and I've been reading around a fair bit (waded through the gazillion toilet paper threads **bleep**). I've refreshed my knowledge of the PayPal and eBay Useragreements etc

We'll see.
