I often see them in the op shops and think pffft, what a useless item. As if you couldn't use a saucer or whatever you have at hand while you're cooking. Making bolognese tonight I just rested the spoon on the side of the can.

found the spoonrest I want to get.
Does it match your French china perfectly Amber?
What about a blue and yellow ashtray if you cannot find exactly the one you want for a spoon rest lol
Just a suggestion

When I have ever used a bit of paper towel, I use just what I need, not the whole sheet, and tend to let the spoon if drippy drip over the pot a bit first. So it's fine.
Yeah, saw you early on Stawka, but this is phase two for spoons. Or phase eight or something.

I think it matches, it has the same pattern and maker's name...I have a heavy green marble ashtray...that could look good 😛

Fluffing, but not overcomplex...tear a bit off the corner of the roll, wipe the drippy spoon if ultradrippy, discard, stick spoon on pot on saucer on next little bit of towel...avoid the cat...cats do not like acting as spoon rests.

It might suffice until your preferred option for a spoon rest arrived

Stawka...it has been a mine of information though, hasn't it?
spoonrests, paper towel, saucers, pots
rice chicken pasta
household cleaning
so much more than the spoonrests 🙂
