Spoon Rests! What A Totally Superflous Kitchen Item!

I often see them in the op shops and think pffft, what a useless item. As if you couldn't use a saucer or whatever you have at hand while you're cooking. Making bolognese tonight I just rested the spoon on the side of the can.

Noooooooooooo!!  It's embarrassing, but the best one is from Quebec, all decorated .. I'll fire up the camera tomorrow and post it  (*blush blush*)

There are some very funny spoon rests around, I've just been looking on the internet and here's one I saw ....

They can be repurposed for many things by the look of it ... gives me an idea or two ...
