Oil spray leaves a residue on non stick baking pans, fry pans etc. On the instruction that come with them, it usually says don't use spray oil.
The oil spray can I have - 100% Aust - contents are Extra Virgin Olive Oil 70%, Propellant: Hydrocarbon (Butane, Propane). It is the butane that leaves the residue.
I don't like spray oil. For the little oil I use, I prefer to use oil from a bottle. If I put roast pumpkin or potato pieces on a baking paper on a tray, I do spray that with oil.

If I'm cooking mince, I cook it in water ... spag bol, burgers, whatever ... use water instead of oil.
I dry fry steak.
I cook turkey and pork in stock.
Why, Why, Why would you do that? What do you have against oil?

Yes I was thrilled when I discovered oil in a can.
But I can top that. My George Foreman Grill. no oil necessary.
