the funniest speech today was from Peter Slipper.. he talked about a young guy he helped out years ago, name of Brough. nobody in the house was laughing, but he gave a good insight into the machinations of the Qld branches.

I heard today that Brough and someone else (forget} went to Clive Palmer to ask him to fund the Ashby case.

I think the coalition will need to be a bit careful about flooding the media with that kind of ad. It will be funny at first, but it's not very subtle and people get really sick of being beaten around the head with a big stick. I suspect they'll 'switch off' very quickly..
