On the advice of my children (because I know nothing) we signed up for the netflix free trial

I might just turn into a couch potato!! Works fine on my tv through the ps4 and on my ipad.

Its like having my own video shop lol.

I am going to reserve judgement just for a bit... the amount of data doesn't worry me but if it slows my internet just because he's watching a movie it aint gonna work. Is this an issue for anyone?

Do sony bravia tv's have the capacity for Netflix? My parents would love it.

I'm guessing the app will appear on the applications screen, somewhere near the quickflix app.  That's what I'm hoping for. I keep checking in the Sony internet TV menu too and haven't found it yet but most of the apps in there also appear on the Apps menu.  The TV has to be online to update. The updates download while it's in standby mode, apparently.

Netflix reminds me of being on an overseas flight.. the individual choice of movies, TV shows etc.

I have NBN and unmetered streaming for Aust Netflix so not a problem with amount of data. Speed seems to be the same.

great!...they've transferred me to telstra instead of foxtel. My foxtel account is with telstra but thats not the one I am cancelling. Whats the bet they'll screw up and cancel the wrong one?

I bought Apple tv today so that I can send Netflix movies to play on the tv.  I have just a normal HD Samsung TV.

Its a small square unit, about 10cm square.  The cost was $109 but you also need to buy the HDMI cable for about $20.  As long as your tv has the HDMI in port to connect that to (I hope I am using the correct terminology) then it's all systems go. 

Dead easy and I set it up all by myself under the watchful eye of a young person.  Using the remote you can go to Netflix and enter your password and watch your movies 🙂

Forgot to say, once you have it set up you can just use your tv remote instead.

Hit the sources button and use the arrow buttons to go to the HDMI/DVI and choose that.  Sorry, not good at techie speak but it's easy to figure out when you are doing it.
