I have always tried not to use that word, as the definition can sometimes show as lack of intelligence (which is not the fault of the unintelligent person)
In fact my grandchildren think it is a naughty, bad word.
I find myself muttering it more and more lately though, one day I may actually say it out loud. Some of these words I would never use.
If I kick my toe because I didn't have shoes on, I would think how stupid I was....................if I put washing in the machine and forget to turn it on.................etc.
What do you think when you say Stupid?

I think she's gone now.
Hey, did you lose the war after all?
(sorry, it's my at times, somewhat questionable sense of humour kicking in . . . either that or the beers) 😉

'morning Goldenjet. 🙂
Please don't be offended by her. She is a well-known poster here and although a bit abrasive at times, she is ok.
English is not her first language and sometimes she comes across as being a bit "blunt". Give her as good as she gives.

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: . . (that's a ref which a few of the biblically literate here might get)
Actually, it's just another expression of my sense of humour . . we are at times here plagued by some serious god-botherers . . but they can be fun in their own way and I wouldn't wish them any harm.
It's early for you and here it's so late at night that it's almost early morn for some of us.
I sometimes used to post on the USA boards in the very early morning after getting home from working a night shift and it was late night for you guys.

Please feel free to disagree with me on any topic if you feel that way. I don't like how these boards seem to "nanny" us and the mods come in to warn us if the convo becomes a little "heated"
The way I see it is that we are all adults and should be allowed some lattitude to express our points of view. I try to be polite to everyone but at times I make a few mistakes.
Our mutual friend doesn't have such restrctions on what she posts and can appear to be downright rude at times. Maybe she intends to be so.
We all handle such differences in our own ways. some do it better than others. 😉
