A, for example, 27 year old loses their job (redundancy, not their fault) and they have to live on thin air for 6 mths before being eligible for the dole?
I can understand that applying to an 18/19 yo who would most likely live at home with their parent(s) and at least have a roof over their head and some food.
Safer to stick to discussin the Budget, I would be disappointed if the mystery padlock got clipped on this thread.

The government will also cut hospital funding to the states and territories. Billions slashed from hospitals.
That is a low act.

Plenty of work in the mines in WA
off you go then....oh sorry you have to babysit and look after your carer
Iza.............I cant go, my working days are over...............but hey you could go, would give you something to do, instead of being on here all day, every day
those mining jobs in WA aren't as easy to get as some might think.

They will create work schemes? Demeaning type work maybe... weeding parks, removing graffiti from public places etc

Too bad if you don't have a loving family to go back to.

That's scary. That 27 year old is likely to have very young children and would be looking for a new job. Not all redundancies have money attached, especially when so many people work on a contract basis with no redundancy clause applicable.
