No, I,m not the one who is calling for a poster to refrain from posting comments they don't like on " their " thread. I,m simply presenting an alternate view to the group thought and happy to discuss its merits in a mature, adult way.

Unfortunately the first go to for the leftist PC brigade is to try to shut down and vilify anyone who expresses views contrary to the leftist PC agenda. This could apply to both my posts on this forum and the police officer and commentator highlighted in the OP link.

Enough interpersonal disputes, if you have a problem with me highlighting that the Detective originally in charge of the case was stood down for expressing that there where issues, possibly with the family court that contributed to this unfortunate case, then discuss them. Dont spend all day personally attacking me. You're usually better than that.

my take on what the detective said is different to yours...  I don't think he was suggesting that 'he knew more"  he was asking for people to come forward.  people who knew either of the parties, but he worded it wrongly and was distressed himself by what he'd implied when he realized how he sounded

What is open to debate is where, when or if someone is entitled to express that opinon - andit would seem that in this thread neither the  'leftist PC brigade' nor the  'resident Narcissist' have been prevented from doing so.

The only question of entitlement is whether posters are entitled to criticise one another's  opinions - and as far as I know, nobody here  has been officiall sanctioned for doing this.
