Yarra Valley Water issues tap water warning to 88 Melbourne suburbs after disaster storm
Thousands of Melbourne households are unable to drink tap water this morning after a power outage during a destructive storm caused untreated water to enter the supply system.

Indeed.

It's funny, I could have sworn we were with sth east water but our suburb wasn't listed as one of those affected. Plus we never lost power at any stage. How lucky are we!
When I looked back though, I had not had a drink of water from the tap anyway. Cups of tea and bottled mineral water yes, but no plain water.
2020, the year that keeps on giving. Well, folks, it is almost September. Each month I wonder what new joys are in store for us.

It is expensive, though. It is brown, comes from Scotland and is $50+ per litre.
It probably comes from groundwater that is denied the local farmers, goes to china to be bottled in environmentally unfriendly plastic bottles, and sold at an inflated amount to line the coffers of investors.
Water will eventually become a resource more valuable than gold.

I have a gorgeous hand wash from Taylor of Old Bond Street that smells like honeysuckle. (It's now unavailable.) I can't help inhaling the fragrance when I wash my hands with it. Clearly I can't do that any more without incurring the wrath of a couple of muppets.
You could bathe in milk, it nothing else is available.

Shades of Empress Poppaea. (I have been known to do something similar - not an actual full-on milk bath, but using milk powder.)
