Don't laugh Freddie.
Nearly 45 years ago I was using my pressure cooker (the old original model that was used on the stove) making a bolognese type sauce when it blew up.
Cleaning the floor was the easy part....years later we were still finding small red blotches on the ceiling. They just seemed to keep appearing out of nowhere. My kids said they were hiding behind the edge of the light fitting, lulling us into believing we had removed the all.

Lyndal my Mum had one of the old pressure cookers that thing scared
the daylights out of me - thankfully it never caused her any grief and it
cooked up some great meals on the cheep to feed the family of 7. Back
in those days you could buy a couple of lbs of chuck steak for a few bob.

actually its the truth why all us cat and dog owners have them, they make cleaning up our experiments so easy.
