can kids write in plain english anymore?

I saw this on a facebook page.  Any 1 no of any1 wit french bulldogs for sale?

I find it really hard to read. I guess I must be getting grumpy in my old age, but that annoys the heck out of me.

My adult kids expect me to send texts in full words, proper punctuation simply because I am of an older generation.

They also think OK only as a reply is a bit slack. I can't really be bothered with text messages unless it is something important.

My mobile does have a good predictive text.. When sending a text, in the space above 3 or 4 words come up as suggestions and usually the word I want to use is there.
