The All New Tas - What's for Dinner Thread - & - Don't Get Uppity.

Tas mentioned there was a good thread on - What's for Dinner.

Seems it ended up - a bit ' snooty '.

So - no fancy - dancy - stuff - just good fresh ideas for dins.

Oh - & Freddie - just loved the zucchini slice - if you could just put it here one more time - I swear not to lose it again.

And please - this time add the - zucchinis. lol.

Here - tonight - Chicken Schnit's with salad.

Tonight, it's most likely des oeufs avec du riz et des légumes étranges car c'est ce qu'il nous reste!

C'est tres delicieux.

Last night was Danish open sandwiches and tonight is maybe a cheese n mushroom omelette.

(You gave me the idea with eggs tas) Smiley Very Happy

Put you in a sandwich............................cheeky lady. Smiley Tongue

Danish open sandwiches are usually done on dark rye bread and topped with lots of things.

So I did buttered rye with pate, beetroot and fried shallots.

Another piece with triple smoked ham and remolade.

And a piece with sliced french Brie. Half an egg with whole egg mayonaise n dill on the side.

We usually eat them at the table with knife n fork. Much easier.

Optional - cold beer and a schnapps.

(Not my pic, just an example)

Did you share - or eat the whole lot on your own.

Splendid Danish sandwiches indeed mon ami.

We often have a baguette Quebec/French style lunch.

When I was at primary school, a friend and I were given incinerator duty at the end of the day. We had to collect the rubbish, place it in the incinerator, set it alight and place the lid on. A while after we did this, a huge grasshopper jumped on the lid and his destiny was evident in about 5 seconds. By the time the rubbish was burned, the grasshopper was smoking and was well fried. It upset me, but my friend queried what it would taste like so in a moment of madness we tried it. Actually, it was rather crispy and tasty, somewhat like a chip.

Since that time however, I have been unable to eat any meat that looks like the creature. I even struggle with chicken.
