All those posted by myself are my own personal photographs....otherwise I would certainly give credit where due!!
Infact, most of the photos I have posted here are watermarked with my name so credit is given but for the purpose of this forum, I have cropped them. A shame as it really does alter the pic overall but still, considering its watermarked with my full name, best I crop it out for now. I generally have only ever shared my photos with family and friends via facebook etc but with that said, I have been lucky enough that a couple of photos (posted earlier) have been used in publications/articles and some calendars and other merchandise. I never ask for money, just credit of name etc. Recently I got a request from someone in the US who wanted to use one of my beagle pics in an article they were writing for some magazine..
People have mentioned a few times now I should look at taking up photography with a view to make some money, more so with pets as thats what I do mainly photograph but I am far from a professional!! I have only had a (D)SLR for a little over 6 months now and still have much to learn! That and it's a pretty basic one!! Sure, I am happy with some of my pics but they certainly are not the standard or quality thats expected from a professional thats for sure!!
Im very happy keeping it a personal but growing hobby. leave the real stuff to the pro's and in this day and age, they are having a rough trot as these days, anyone with a digital camera is a professional photographer, if you know what I mean.
Im always looking for a new pet to do a shoot with!! Thankfully Im heavily involved with the pure bred dog world and have access to hundreds of breeds....I really want to shoot an afghan hound in play!
Going to play around with some "conceptual" ideas too....which could be fun.
Am off to Fiji this week, for a much needed, well deserved few days away. Im hoping to be able to get some wonderful pics there so stay tuned!! We visit the orphanage on day one to drop off some supplies and meet the kids and staff so hoping there might be a few photo ops there too.
Anyway...a couple more pics. Pretty standard ones really but ones I like and thought I would share all the same.

you'd be surprised id by who can make it as a pro.
Your pics are great, you have the rule of thirds down pat
an eye for creativity (seeing the shot in different light)
You dont need the top of the range camera to be able to sell your pics and we are our own worse enemy as a critic.
Some people can take great shots other take good snaps. there is a difference.
Get an editing program if you dont already have one. That takes a great pic to outstanding.
I struggled with that but then every pic you buy has been edited. Nothing is ever sold raw

The easy way is dropbox.com
You need to set up an account but it's an easy setup and you can set it to auto upload from phone. Once registered you d/l a folder to desktop and the uploaded photos will appear in desk top folder then drag and drop to wherever you want or via file menu the same as other files.
I love drop box because it shares the photos over all the devices without me doing anything.
