I put them cut side down (seed taken out) on moist paper towel on a plate and cover with glad wrap and store in the fridge. They last really well like that.

I have seen those to, and wondered if they would be any good, or just another plastic thing to wash.
I usually put the left over half in alum foil in the fridge but tend to forget about it and it gets past it.

MMM I love avocados, I'll keep an eye out for one of those things Icy
we use them as a spread, in salads , with chicken and my lot even just cut them in half, take out the stone and pour in salad dressing or lemon juice with pepper and just spoon them out.
They seem to be coming into season here, the price has been dropping, but gosh tomatoes are expensive here ATM

"Leave the seed in & cover with plastic wrap, works every time & you don't have to buy another plastic thing to add to world."
Yes that's a point, lightningdance, I hate one-use, throw-away plasic too, and try to re-use wherever I can. I wash and re-use those plastic take-away containers a lot for food storage.
"Is your plastic wrap not plastic then lighteningdance?"
Another good point, Joono. I prefer to store food in plastic lidded containers rather than use cling wrap.
