Dont forget to watch The Bolt Report every Sunday on Channel 10 at 10am and 4pm
Join Andrew Bolt, one of Australia's most read, most topical newspaper columnists, as he addresses today's political and social issues through opinion commentary, panel discussion and interviews.
This week
Abbott’s deficit tax. Sacrifice or suicide?
My guest: Amanda Vanstone, former Howard Government minister and member of the Commission of Audit.
The panel: Michael Kroger and Cassandra Wilkinson.
NewsWatch: Rowan Dean.
So much to discuss: destroying the handout mentality, the deficit tax and growing corruptions scandals. Plus: the menace of Clive Palmer’s money and the arrest of a man who quoted Churchill in public.
And this: is Labor’s what-budget-crisis? strategy clever politics or a reckless betrayal of the national interest?
Your Say and more.

Loved Cory Bernardi on last weeks show
Is this the same cory bernadi...september 2012
Liberal senator Cory Bernardi has resigned as Tony Abbott's parliamentary secretary amid a fierce backlash over comments he made linking gay marriage to the social acceptance of having sex with animals.
Mr Abbott has described the comments as "ill-disciplined" and has accepted Senator Bernardi's resignation.
"They're views I don't share," the Opposition Leader told reporters in Canberra.
"They're views that I think many people would find repugnant.

Yes, I sometimes watch the report, if for no other reason so I can keep an eye on the radical right wing nutters and be prepared, if they are about to take over the asylum.
The one report I particularly liked (not) was a few weeks back about a northern New South Wales recourses project licence being cancelled, because of community protests and the lack of bona fide community consultation. So he (Bolt), for the purposes of supposedly balanced reporting, sends someone up there to interview some of the protesters; so they can voice their concerns.
Now for the facts, the protest has broad local community support. It was organised by local residents, farmers and small business owners who were concerned as to the impact that a particular resource project would have on their lifestyle and livelihood, mainly because simular projects elwahere have resulted in the poisoning of groundwater, the very ground water on which this community relies.
So who were the people interviewed. Some of the not insubstancial number of hard working concerned citizens fearful for their community and livelihood. No. Those interviewed were the handful of outsider nutters that this kind of event usually attracts.

A great show this morning!
I loved Michael Kroger's response when asked if the press would have maintained the same media silence as held on Mr Shorten's rape allegations if it had've been a Liberal MP.
Kroger: "If this was a Lib they would be named and pressured to stand down. Even if the allegations were false it would ruin their career".

The false allegations probably would have ruined his career and even now they aren't doing him much good. Do you think he should have been hounded and asked to stand down and why is that?
Also, no Liberal member was involved so Michael Kroger is just mud slinging for the sake of it.

No I don't think Mr Shorten should've been hounded Joono, and it's good to see the press honour their profession that they didn't.
Look at the way they ruined (Labor Minister) Theo Theophanus's political career with the way they reported the false rape allegations against him . Pretty sure they wouldn't want a repeat of that disgrace.
It's just a pity their honour is forgotten when it comes to members of the liberal party, such as Mr Abbotts alleged wall-punching incident, and the way they hounded his wife and daughters.
Also, no Liberal member was involved so Michael Kroger is just mud slinging for the sake of it.
Why should a Liberal member have been involved to make his comment valid?
