Anyone who pays 48% tax urgently needs a new accountant.

With Sa;ary sacrifice, negative gearing, Superannuation they way it is and the ability to contribute extra at a lower tax rate,

some serious questions need to be asked as to why someone's tax rate isn't lower.

That's not stealing, it's legal tax minimization.

Let's say you earn a heap, have an interest in rare books or rar artwork by Monet, Rembrandt etc.

Previously, you just bought rare books or paintings post tax.

You pay a heap of money into your super at 30% tax rate (need to check that rate), then you use your Super to buy rare books

and painting by Monet which you furnish your house with. You are already 18% ahead before you even start and you still

end up with the books and painting in your house.

I know people who collect rare old cars with their super and get to drive them.

As long as it is structured how the tax department wants it structured, lots of things are possible.

You have income splitting, where lets say your spouse doesn't earn, you get some of your income paid to her.

THE campaign to destroy Tony Abbott has become despicable. Any Liberals feeding it are not fit for high office.

Be clear: I do not blindly defend the Prime Minister.

Indeed, two weeks ago an ABC news bulletin led with the news that I’d called his decision to knight Prince Philip “pathetically stupid”.

But last week, two reports, both citing anonymous Liberal critics of Abbott, crossed the line.

I bet all the LNP MP's are thrilled that they are coming under attack from Andrew Bolt

Donna--for the first time i tuned in at 10am yesterday for that show.

10.00am- 10.08am-was a pair of spankers selling a bamboo filled pillow.

They twisted it and shuffled it--turned it over---bit like the rest of the program......Richo.

Might have to watch the 4pm session to catch up.
