Community Spirit

Can really get with it

By posting a ditty,

A poem or a limerick.

It doesn't need to rhyme

Or be more than two lines

It can be sad or funny

About sunshine or bunnies.

The one with most kudos wins

There will also be a "judge's pick"

The judge is me and there will be 

No dissent from thee or thee 😉 😉 😉

So, grab your pen and paper, too

Find inspiration from what's around you

Or go back to the past or into the future

Write on haute cuisine, or even haute couture 🙂

My good friend has gone to eBali,

My good friend has just copped a ban,

Some so and so's jumped on the button

And dobbed her in just cos she can.

One day whilst on the ebay forum

which is sadly lacking any decorum,

katy’s brain did have a fart…

“Aha! A poetry thread I shall start!”

The thread was embraced, it was wildly popular

with posters both new and those who are regular.

At first Katy thought it was a great idea,

But now she shivers and shakes in fear.

Much to our clever Katy’s dismay,

Nobody wants it to be just one day!

“Oh goodness me, what have I done?

This was just meant to be a brief bit of fun!!”

She hears the crowd roar as she slips away..

“Hey! Start another – we want to play!!!

There are mean people on every site

But this latest attack just ain't right

As you post that without any guilt

Plunging the knife in up to the hilt

And with such satisfaction

Disgusted is my reaction

I posted this to make you think twice

That a few of you are far from nice

The posts within that other thread,

You'd understand what they were showing

And know which way the wind was blowing.

Whilst every forum has some meanies,

as we do right here.

Some meanies sook on every site, especially after a beer 😄

Like She_el says, the tides have turned,

most posters want some fun.

The likes of those that like to sook have found their day is done.

All the threads I did read

I thought it'd make my eyes bleed

Be it beer wine or whisky

a few come here acting frisky

I LOLed about the slab

Your drinking habit...I won't blab

Over here we call them cases

I hope this poem puts a smile on your faces
