Hey everyone...
So, we all know theres an election coming up!
September the 14th is the big day. Like mentioned, plenty of time for us all to plan for that date.
Also means its going to be a looooooong campaign.
For the peace of the board, so everything else doesnt get pushed down by debates on policies and dirt and gossip (and digs at each other personally) etc, can we at all perhaps try to contain as much as we can in a thread much like this?
Theres bound to be plenty of healthy debate (particularly by a few members well known for their strong stance and support for a certain party) and its always easier to follow it etc in one place.
Should be an interesting year ahead! I know I for one am looking forward to it!

I just take most of them for the entertainment value that the are....the same group of people making personal digs at each other, baiting people for the attack etc blindly in the name of their preferred party.
Can be pretty entertaining really if you read it all with a grain of salt. I say embrace it....as its not going anywhere anytime soon. (although with that said it doesnt seem to have got any worse since the election was called).
Could be a little frustrating to some I guess though if you came onto the boards to spend some free time reading some funny posts etc only to find and have to wade through all political threads.
Perhaps eBay should make a political sub board but then I suspect those same few people wouldnt be able to keep it restricted to that either. Everyone has a point to prove (or disprove) it seems.

i was talking to one of the BP's .. someone who makes a point of saying how much they dislike them.. easily enough to BP without any partisanship.

I agree LL, but being pedantic argue that this: "....all of the political threads have disapeared...." is a slight exaggeration.
The best source for wide eyed political "opinion" is, online betting agencies. Here are 3:-
Coalition 1.12 1.12 1.16
Labor 5.5 5.9 4.85
